To me this was done so that the reader would not feel coerced but can take the message seriously or just for entertainmen...

The reality presented makes much more sense than the multiverse hypothesis. If you don't have a lot of preconceived ideas of what makes a book good, or if you find yourself thinking about the meaning of life often, then you will like this book.
