All formulated conclusions and scientific positions are grounded and logically follow from materials of the carried out research, are adequate to the tasks in view. Scientific novelty consists in the fact that for the first time, on the basis of experimental data, the regime of cytostatics introduction in relation to the proliferative activity of malignant cells is analyzed, the effect of chemotherapy regimens, chosen with respect to the kinetics of tumor growth, on the life expectancy of experimental animals is evaluated. For the first time the efficacy and toxicity of the metronomic regimen of cytostatics administration is evaluated using a large clinical material. The results are of considerable importance for clinical oncology. Cytostatics administered in the metronomic regimen provide the possibility of achieving long-term tumour stabilisation combined with negligible toxicity and improved quality of life in patients who are resistant to standard therapy.
