This is reflected in the frequency of long periods of drought and irregular rainfall, as well as an obvious variation from one year to another. The territory of the Atlas of Beni Mellal knows successive periods of drought both at the level of the Dir and the mountainous region. This has as a consequence a decrease in the quantities of water from the springs, on the Dir level and in the neighboring regions.
