In 2011, she was appointed Honorary Consul for Sweden in Bhutan, and on December 3, 2019, she was conferred the prestigious Royal Order of the Polar Star by Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden - an honor awarded to foreign nationals who have rendered exceptional service to Sweden. Breaking barriers, she made history as the first woman to serve as President of both the Construction Association of Bhutan (2012-2016) and the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (2016-2020), paving the way for greater female leadership in the business sector.
