Vinodol is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region. Nitra District (okres Nitra) is a district in the Nitra Region of western Slovakia. It is the most populated of Slovakia's 79 districts. Until 1918, most of the present-day district belonged to the Nitra county, apart from Vráble in the east which was part of the county of Tekov.The Nitra Region (Slovak: Nitriansky kraj) is one of the administrative regions of Slovakia.
