Most interesting is the courtship and lifelong marriage of Ansel Swain to Elizabeth Ruth Hamlet Swain. Her record of achievements are most inspirational. Three Appendices are included in this book. The first appendix, "A Genealogy of the Swain Family: Descendants of Jesse Abner Swain," great grandfather, researched by Ansel Swain in 1987, (127 indexed pages) is a five generation family history. The second appendix, "The Life and Times of John Turner Hamlet, 1900's Atkins, Arkansas Merchant" (24 pages) records the story of the family of Elizabeth Swain. The third appendix, "Lucinda Elizabeth Norman and John Mason Liner" (6 pages) is the story of Ansel Swain's other great grandparents. John Liner lost his life in the Civil War.
