Luke and Melissa, newlyweds, live temporarily in the Provence, France on an assignment from Luke's employer in the States. They live to make each other happy and their life is calm and relaxed. An invitation to a wedding in Cholet from Melissa's friend seems to be a wonderful opportunity for a relaxed trip through France. A blue-sky day sets a relaxed start to their trip. However, an unexpected traffic jam, an eighteen-wheeler on one side and concrete barriers forcing them to merge into its lane, forgotten wedding clothes, running low on gas late at night high up in the mountains, reckless driving on Luke's part, not merely minor damages to the car, and other incidences turn their life, moods, and emotions upside down. The tension not only tests their patience but their love for each other and their relationship. What valuable lessons will they learn about themselves and each other? Will this trip, turned chaotic and stressful, emotions flying high, end in separation or bring them closer together? It seems impossible to mix humour with the high pressure, chaos, and strained emotions; but fasten seat belts and get ready for an exciting ride.

Autor

Michael Copple's life experience includes twenty-six years active duty in the US Air Force, nine years of which were overseas, member of the Combat Control Team, and Vietnam Veteran. He spent nine years with the Wings of Blue Parachute Team at the U.S. Air Force Academy. From 1983 to 1986, Michael was the Superintendent of Parachuting Operations at USAF Academy. He accumulated 2,000 parachute jumps and fifteen hours of freefall, and earned jump wings from six foreign countries. Michael obtained the highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sergeant. From March 2001 until April 2002 Michael and his wife lived in the Provence, France where he worked as a Service Engineer in the Semi-Conductor Industry. Since 2003 Michael Copple, a permanent resident of Canada, has resided near Golden, B.C., with his Canadian wife, Elfriede. They both believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the Son of God, enjoy reading and studying God's Word, and enjoy cross country skiing, and running every morning with their dog "Kansas".
