The seed coat of whole canola seed acts as a barrier to protect the fat portion and is resistant to digestion both in the rumen and intestine. Therefore, this book offers two processing methods to enhance nutritive value of whole canola seeds like crushing and heat treatment. These methods increased the extent of rumen escape of unsaturated fatty acids and alert fatty acid composition in adipose tissue in addition; this type of processing is cheap and available in Egypt.
