Effectiveness of e-resources in research and their material, human and financial cost is usually justified by optimum usage. This study critically examines access to and use of e-resources at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) in Nairobi and has implications on current and future investment in electronic information products and services that meet the needs of technical staff at KALRO and similar research institutions in Africa.
