I saw life begin and life end and it was both a privilege and an honor for my patients to let me into their lives. God had called me into nursing, but I was also a Firefighter and EMT for five of those years. I now work as a National Peer Support Specialist with Mental Health America of South Carolina. I was also instrumental, along with my friend Cindy Krell, in starting a "Drop-In" center for those with a mental illness called the Connection Center. I currently live in West Columbia South Carolina with my two adult children, which was my greatest accomplishment. I also have a dog and two cats.
