In this way, the author is hoping to demonstrate by example, and thus avoid what he says in his introduction: that this is 'not another book on GPR'. The aim of this book is to give a manageable guide for the clear and understandable connection between GPR theory and practice. For this purpose, I have decided to write this book, giving the tools to better comprehend and correctly use the ground penetrating radar in different fields through a list of real cases. The multiplicity of possible GPR uses makes obvious the consideration that it is an essential and multi-tasking operation, in objectively complex fields and employing investigation tools of various kinds. The purpose of this book is to progress the ability to calibrate the GPR intervention in a correct way, facing different problems and difficulties. The cooperation of the various 'entities' involved during a GPR investigation is crucial for keeping alive the credibility of this technique in the future.
