Though a hard fought war between species took place generations ago which caused the 9 elemental spirits to come together and create a new element known as the Ultimate. The Ultimate was proven to powerful to handle, it ended the war but also caused a massive power vacuum. The Ultimate was banished but ended up figuring out how to make his own army and wanted revenge on the 9 spirits for banishing him when he was the strongest. The Ultimate started another war in order to get said revenge but was in the end defeated and his children and anyone even remotely related to him the could possibly carry the a sliver of the Ultimate are hunted and killed. Which leads us to where we are today. Where those unlucky enough to find themselves as this generations host of the Ultimate spirit are hunted to death to prevent said Ultimate from gaining power once again, but in the shadows an even greater evil lurks and puts their plans into motion.
