Beth Goldworthy and her team are engaged by an insurance company to investigate a murder. Two people will receive a huge payout from the life insurance policy, but neither seem to be the type to commit murder. Beth and her team must establish their innocence before the insurance will pay. They work with the police to come across others who may not benefit financially from the murder but have serious grudges. Could it simply be a case of revenge. A weapon involved in the investigation has been used before in a drug gang killing. The possibilities grow but no clear suspect emerges, until Beth makes a discovery that makes the investigation suddenly a whole lot more dangerous.
