Germans repeatedly altered their immigration policies not because of the needs of migrants, but almost solely in response to the GFR s own changing economic and other requirements. Turkish minority have affected the relations between Turkey and the GFR in many respects. The undeniable significant positive contributions of the Turks to the development of theGerman economy and its conversion into a multi-cultural society are accomplished facts which cannot easily be reversed and whose socio-political implications need to be more fully understood.
