Pursued by an evil apparition, they are befriended by a Kavacha and his personal guard, the Ruedin; who are searching for the prophesised Nadym Varsk, the Truth Seer who is destined to destroy the nemesis of Sakhalin, Nuba Driss. Together they journey through Sakhalin to its heart; the city of Enkan Mys, to find a way home. Hunted by outlaws and assisted by two dragons; who are themselves on a quest to retrieve a stolen orb, David and Jennifer realise they have magical powers and part of an ancient prophesy. The city becomes besieged by two armies. The Imazaghan are the descendants of the banished Toureng that have now returned to claim their ancestor's birthright. The Koutla Raiders are outlaws who just want gold. But both armies are controlled by the evil mage, Nuba Driss and he's coming to destroy the city and only the children can stop him.
