During a summer quest to find treasure of any kind, a family discovers the real treasure is quality time with family after searching for sharks teeth, gemstones and other relics. School is out for summer break and this family decides to embark on a quest to find treasure. First stop is the beach to look for shark teeth. Next they try searching a nearby island. Extremely determined, they even look in their own yard. They have been unsuccessful and come up empty-handed so far. Summer is coming to a close, and there is one more destination left. There is not much hope. Will they find treasure while on vacation with their cousins? And is the treasure what they expected it to be?

Mary Wills Bertwell lives with her family in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She has two daughters with her husband Peyton. She draws inspiration for her writing from the local beach and her daughters, Hadley & Raleigh. She loves reading to her daughters before bedtime and can't wait to read more of her own work to them. Her favorite stories are ones that have a positive message or lesson with beautiful illustrations. She tries to incorporate both of those aspects into her stories.
