This book focused on analysing phenomena underlying travel decision of rural individual and development of comprehensive model by improving existing methodologies and concepts. The conceptual modelling framework incorporate household economics within the need threshold process, household role allocation and accessibility, as these three processes play vital role in rural individual travel decision. Further, integration of these processes results in a behavioural framework that supports notion of derived demand and follows the need-led activity based approach required for rural areas of developing countries.
