This training module is designed to build the capacity of trainers / trainee in the field of flash flood risk management for sustainable rice production in the Haor areas. It focuses on significance of adaptive practices of rice production in minimizing threat of flash flood. Interventions taken by different agencies, relevant policies and projects undertaken to combat flash flood by government are highlighted. Finally, the module concludes with some recommendations to cope with flash flood for better crop production.

Autor

Graduated from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh in 1988 (held in 1991), Dr. Islam started his career as Scientific Officer at Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) in 1994 and promoted to Senior Scientific Officer in 2004. He did MS and Ph.D. degrees from the department of Agricultural Extension Education of the same University.
