This thesis delineates practical uses of PARAMICS during planning to handle uncertain events along the arterial Goodwood road. Additionally, importance of emergency management plan, such as response and clearance strategies have been emphasized in this study.After creating artificial incidents at different locations, vehicle diversion from Goodwood Road has been measured. In addition, lane delay, turning delay, flow count, speed, density, queue length, Level of Service and impact at an intersecting road have been measured compared with base model. It is concluded that double lane incidents for long duration at downstream end has major impact on delay and associated problems. Further, congestion information for the driverscan improve situation noteworthy.
