Autor

Elvin Karda, born in 1996 in Berlin, is an author with Crimean Tatar roots. She grew up as the eldest of three children in a working-class family. After training as a painter and varnisher, she went on to study law. Since her youth, she has been photographing both in analog and digital formats a sensitivity to light, framing, and transitions that also informs her literary work. Her texts, shaped by literature, history, and philosophy, revolve around questions of origin, memory, identity, and inner freedom. With quiet intensity and a language that remains both precise and open, she explores the fractures and transitions of the human experience. She now lives with her child in Greifswald and writes at the intersection of social reality and poetic condensation.
