As a writer and artist, Penny Ross Burk has a healthy case of "Professional Artist ADHD" having fun with lots of different media: watercolor, illustration, embroidery, photography and sculpture. The idea for the Time books came to Penny when she was going through a busy period in her life and felt she never had enough time to be with her children and do all the things life had to offer. While she worked at NBC's The Today Show, Willard Scott saw the early versions of the Time books. He loved the humor and believed in the concept. This encouragement was all it took for Penny to keep going to create the Time series.
