Illness causes physical and emotional damages to the body. Usually, the physical damages are treated separately from the emotional issues, which remain in the background and, in most cases, are not evidenced. Body Psychology has techniques that unite body, mind and energy of the subject, a fact that can raise the quality of life of the sick in cases of hospitalization. The objective of this study was to approach the vision of Body Psychology about the emotional and energetic aspects of the illness process, and also the contributions of this approach to reconnect the hospitalized sick individual to his body and his potential for health. The method was of a qualitative, applied and field nature. Noticeable results were achieved where the muscular stiffness disappeared, there were changes in the tone of the skin of the participants, in addition to the fact that the reports provided showed how they felt welcomed through the practices developed.
