Culicidae are Nematoceran Diptera that transmit various animal and human diseases, An entomological study is conducted in 2019, in three sites of the Algerian far west coast to verify the presence of the vector Aedes albopictus. Based on eleven productive sites (4 created and 7 surveyed), the Culicidae populations are composed of five species, four of which belong to the subfamily Culicinae and only one to the subfamily Anophelinae.
