This ill perceived view had also led so many to pick up arms to slay, maim and destroy others in the name of faith. The journey into writing this book was borne out of curiosity to understand and discover what it is all about, its true meaning and expression. This journey began when I watched a dear friend die in our arms in a hospital some years ago. As it is always said that curiosity is the mother of all invention, this single episode led to self questioning and researches. It behoves me to think that if this topic was well understood, expressed and applied by my friend, maybe he may not have died and so with many others.
