Its aim is to give an international account of the great wealth of underground literature produced at the University of Kisangani, particularly as regards theses in the social sciences and humanities. It contains 112 doctoral dissertations in philosophy, history, communication, African linguistics, French linguistics, African literature, French literature, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, politics, law and economics.
