Born Joseph Guarnera in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph Paris entered his first hairstyling competition winning First Grand Prize for the Empire State Master Hairdressers Guild held at the famous Granada Hotel. He went on to master his designing skills with the prestigious House of Revlon and Clairol who commissioned him to write his first book entitled "The Wonderful World of Wigs." As his reputation grew, Joseph opened his first custom hair salon in New York City. He named it" Joseph Paris Naturally." He has applied his expertise in film, theater and television working with many celebrity clients over the years from fashioning a mustache for renowned artist Andy Warhol, to designing hair for star clients such as Gloria DeHaven, Mariska Hargitay, Barbra Streisand, Jaclyn Smith, Charlie Sheen, Christopher Meloni, Lionel Hampton and Burt Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was so impressed, that for his film "Physical Evidence" decided to name his character "Joe Paris."After designing hairpieces for the legendary Frank Sinatra, Joseph Paris served as personal hairstylist for Sinatra on his film, "The First Deadly Sin." Joseph would remain with Sinatra on call at all times as his hair designer, friend and confidant accompanying Sinatra to his concerts, personal appearances as well as Sinatra's residences. At the request of his Majesty King Hassan II, Joseph Paris traveled to Moroccoon special assignment for several years as his Majesty King Hassan's royal hairdresser.
