Other objectives of the study are optimal power flow i.e. Combined Environmental/ Economic Dispatch, Economic Load Dispatch, Economic Emission Dispatch and implementation of advanced controlling device like D-FACTS to minimize the power losses which reduce generation from coal based thermal power plant and further minimize the fuel cost, environmental emissions, etc. This will also improve the power handling capacity of the existing grid and system performance.
