Thekla had a special gift; she was an extraordinarily gifted sorceress. Her idyllic life was shattered when her best friend, Xantha, burst in on her with the news that her younger sister had disappeared. Confused by her father's refusal to search for his daughter, Xantha asked Thekla to join her search for her sister. Their search would take them from a life they had always known into a land with strange creatures they had only read about. Eventually it would lead them to the keep of an evil nobleman and an ill-fated battle.
