This is illustrated by two case studies on the Cerritos Perfomring Arts Center, California, and the International Convention Centre, Brimingham. The book presents 49 od the best and most innovative contemporary theatres. These shemes illustrate the five 'sub-themes' - the varying design approaches and objectives - that James Steele identifies in his introduction.
