Alec and Rosa are the best of friends. It looks like lots of crows have just hatched their young, and a baby isn't quite ready to fly! Alec and Rosa watch as the baby bird attempts to flap his wings and tumbles down, down, down to the forest floor. Knowing what they must do, Alec and Rosa scoop up the little crow and take him back to Rosa's house, where they name him Blue. In the following days, Alec and Rosa help Blue regain strength and confidence to learn to fly. They help him talk to the other crows, who flock to Rosa's house and watch Blue's progress excitedly. Before spring ends, will Blue be able to fly? And how will Alec and Rosa feel if Blue does gain the strength to flap his wings?
