This text addresses the question of how possible resolutions to existing dichotomies, such as the identity of ¿victim¿ and ¿the repressed¿ versus ¿agents of agency,¿ may enter into the conversation regarding the refugee population of France. Through movements giving a voice to the Other and by the undefining of identities thus creating a space of possibility, this work hopes to develop a functional concept of citizenship.

Sacha Christianson est née à Paris, en France, et est titulaire d'une maîtrise en affaires internationales de l'Université américaine de Paris. Elle a également vécu aux États-Unis où elle a travaillé pour une organisation communautaire soutenant les demandeurs d'asile et les nouveaux immigrants à New York. Elle s'est spécialisée dans le secteur du développement. Elle est actuellement basée à Niamey, au Niger.
