Their journey will not be easy. Armed only with the weapons on their backs, they must cross the Greenwood, a dense forest filled with inhuman beasts known as the Greishic. These beasts attack and feed on the women of the Sisterhood. The burden of the Venery weighs heavily on Zeya. Even if she does manage to reach the village, she still must find the male and bring him back alive. Her failure would mean empty wombs and the very end of humanity.
