Those creatures fed upon the Human race, driving them to near extinction. As Humanity vanished, the Vampires reigned supreme on that version of the Planet Earth. An expedition of Vampire soldiers and Vampire scientists ventures through the Portal, in search of an Alternate Earth whose sun hasn't died, and where tasty Humans can still be found.
