Leadership is not about titles and positions; leadership is about effectively carrying out your leadership functions. This book aims at highlighting leadership deficiencies and providing solutions to combat those problems. More than 15 years of learning about and leading people of different cultures, calibres, backgrounds, and countries, has taught me why it is important for our generation to understand what effective leadership is. Additionally, how one can become effective in their leadership. Talk is cheap; anyone can talk. However, acting is a painstaking process only effective leaders are willing to go through. The difference between effective and ineffective leaders is the distance between talking and doing. Effective leadership is about performing what you profess. By reading this book, I believe that you will be challenged to lead effectively in your area of leadership, but also challenge others to become effective leaders. If everything rises and falls on leadership, then leadership is the one aspect of our lives that we cannot afford to ignore. We need to pay close attention to it, by directing our resources effectively to ensure we are functioning optimally all the time.
