She might have thought him arrogant to assume that he could just convince her even though she had turned him down, but she knew him too well to think that. He seemed to always care for her, no matter how many times she'd turned him down. She also appreciated the fact that whenever he was in town, he took plenty of time from his busy schedule to talk with her and to pursue her.
