In the early part of this volume, John and Annie were born. During the 1950s Bob was again a PPC in a patrol squadron that included detachments to European areas. At the close of his sea duty tour, he specialized as an Aeronautical Engineering Duty Only officer, serving as project engineer in R&D of helicopter engines, production engineer in an overhaul and repair facility, and staff duty on a Pacific Area Air Command Staff. He retired from the Navy in July 1963 followed with a decade as a project engineer with two different large aerospace industries.
