Eventually, she realized that she had been led by a supernatural force, which later revealed her destiny and the purpose for her earthly existence. The intriguing life story of the author, Veronica, can be figuratively described as a roller-coaster life of survival or a long and winding road. As Veronica grew and evolved into womanhood, the petals of her life began to open up to welcome the wonders of earthly treasures. With each attempt she made to receive what would have been rightly hers, the powers that be would throw a dark spell over the opportunity, causing her to have doubts and fears of the pathway on which she trod. Veronica's successes and failures or twists and turns from birth to above age sixty-five have often begged the question, "Is there a divine purpose for the different avenues that her life has taken?"

Autor

Veronica O'Connor hails from the hills of Saint Catherine, Jamaica, West Indies. She's second in a family of eleven born to her mother. Growing up, Veronica attended the Point Hill Leased All Age School. After graduating from the ninth grade, she was privileged to obtain a position as a basic school teacher and hold that position for ten years. She then transitioned to the primary school and taught there for another two years. After that, she migrated to Toronto, Canada. In Canada, she worked as a personal support worker at Laughlin Centre Nursing Home for five years. Then she attended George Brown College to pursue a diploma to become a registered practical nurse. After graduating, she worked as a staff nurse at Baycrest Geriatric Hospital for ten years, then at the Village of Sandalwood Park Long-Term Care for another fifteen years. In 2006, Veronica wrote and published a cookbook, titled Veronica's Caribbean Dishes. Then in 2011, she published another book, titled Prayer or Communication with God. The Roller-Coaster Life of Survival is her third book. Veronica continues her spiritual walk with God as she is presently an active member of the WOR prayer team at her church.
