Emma Frost, PhD is owner/trainer/speaker of CanLead Training, and helps people identify what is keeping them from being successful. She works with individuals to help them can take control of their life and find their fabulous! Emma earned her First Class Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Molecular Biology and Biomedical Sciences. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), in Developmental Neuroscience, both degrees were through the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge (UK). She moved to the US to complete a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (MD, USA), and followed that with a research associate position at Johns Hopkins Medical School (MD, USA). She came to Winnipeg in 2004 to become an assistant professor/research administrator at the University of Manitoba, and study brain development. Emma is an Emerald Member of the International Women's Leadership Association, a Manitoba Keystone Speaker and long time member of Toastmasters International. In 2008 Emma competed in the semi-finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking, She is a Past District Governor for Manitoba and NW Ontario of Toastmasters International, and holds three DTM designations within that organization. In 2012, Emma broke away from her 32 year scientific career to start up her own speaking & coaching business. As a speaker, she engages and delights her audiences with storytelling, humour, and enlightening insights that create fun, upbeat, and memorable events. As a coach, she helps people reach inside themselves, identify their strengths, overcome barriers to their success, become better team members, and find the courage to take back control of their lives. She is distinctive in the coaching field due to the strong neuroscience background she brings to the process. Emma's latest book, "The Quick and Easy Way to Take Control of Your Life", will provide you with insights on how to "Rule Your World".
