Having taken classes such as Latin American Criticism and Latin American Literature, I was able to see that written artistic expressions can take infinite forms, that literature is not one and that Latin American literature, precisely from its difference, is capable of integrating the most dissimilar voices and sources and thus writes its own history. This led to a greater awareness of Latin American literature and an interest in it that led me to seek out possibilities for study.
