THE AUTHOR OF THIS BOOK: John Owen was a very competent theologian who defended the inspiration and preservation of Scripture in the same century the King James Bible was translated. For that reason, and many others, it is good for present day scoffers to hear the continued cry through the years that believers need to be careful what Bible they are studying and reading. THE NEED FOR THIS BOOK: It appears obvious that we are nearing the end of this age, and the return of Christ is near.
