The data was analyzed using tables. The results for the teachers indicated that the Mathematics teachers perceive that working with large classes poses insurmountable problems. They perceive that learners will not benefit much from being in large classes. The lesson observations show that teachers' most form of interaction is through the lecture method and less group work. Pupil-pupil interaction was low. The researcher recommends that all teachers teaching should make sure that all learners benefit from learning taking place, that the government should consider the number of learners that the teacher teaches in every lesson.
