All the while, hidden just out of view, patient and hungry... an ancient evil lurks. With their town under siege and all evacuation routes blocked, Sheriff Primrose is quickly running out of options. Falling back on his military training, he enlists the help of first-responders and retired officers, forming an armed posse. Their goal: round up as many survivors as possible before night falls, and then barricade themselves somewhere safe until dawn. Despite being sidelined by the adults, Troy, Wendy, and Janis have made their own startling discovery, one that may help turn the tide in the impending confrontation - but only if they can convince their parents to listen.
