Upon graduating high school, he attended one year of college at the University of Tennessee at Martin before joining the Army in 1987. Carlton retired after serving 20 years in the Army with two deployments to Iraq during his service. After retiring from the military, he went back to college and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Organizational Development from Bethel University. He is a proud father of one son and two daughters which came from a 19-year marriage that ended in divorce. Through his trials and tribulations his desire for wealth persevered.
