It is replete with coverage of her travels, and anecdotes about cases, the lives she has helped, her various jobs, and the career she has carved out for herself. Having travelled extensively around the world she returned to settle in London in 1995. You will find some of her decisions and actions breath-taking, yet successful and informative. There are, essentially, two approaches to health care, very different and often in conflict: a) overcoming disease uses drugs, technical- and surgery based disease management with frequent adverse and toxic consequences. b) restoring health (homeostasis) is focused on natural, supportive, and non-toxic aids with many benefits. In Australia, where she trained, naturopathy in the 1970s was a well-respected career that followed a 3¿ year full-time undergraduate degree-level course. She was disappointed to find, in 1995, that few people in the UK knew anything about naturopathy or the opportunities that such a career could provide, and took it upon herself to bring it to the forefront of alternative medicine.
