I was born and brought up in Cardiff and now, retired, have returned to Wales to live in Monmouth. In between, I spent my career teaching Chemistry and a bit of Physics, and writing "educational materials", and doing other things such as fencing and choral singing, in various parts of southern England.Science Fiction has been a pleasure all my life; the variety of sub-genres and range of authors that I have read, amazingly varied. I have also been writing fiction since I was 10. Strangely, the first novel I had published by Elsewhen, happened to be more Fantasy than SF. The Evil Above the Stars trilogy contains science but it is pre-Copernican. The sequel, Cold Fire, is also Fantasy with a touch of C17th chemistry. An Extraordinary Tale was a step into more fantastical fantasy. I have completed my first SF novel, For Us, The Stars, a first-contact, futurist tale and I am hoping it will be deserving of publication. I have lots of ideas for stories and novels which just need time, effort, inspiration and skill, to develop. Since I was in my 20s, I have felt a conflict between my masculine and feminine traits. That has been resolved by adopting a non-binary/gender-fluid identity. I am relieved that I have been able to live openly and happily as such in my adopted town.Lou and I have now been married for 37 years and enjoy our shared life. We each have our own interests but enjoy doing things together which seems to be the remedy for a happy marriage and retirement. I have two step-children and four delightful grandchildren. I am grateful for having spent over seventy years on this planet and hope for quite a few more yet for Lou and I to enjoy and in which I can get more of my ideas written down (or tapped out on screen).
