If you consider that love has seven stages, and the middle stage four, is the earth, this book is that fifth stage just beyond it, in the clouds. That stage, that world of infatuation was where The Love Scrolls began, and this first book captures that world as never before. Some of the most impassioned poems I ever wrote are here like The Violinist, Soul Mate, I Wail, and Sea Isle Serenity. The first poems appeared while I was studying economics at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in economics but I wanted to learn everything so I took classes in english, art, philosophy, statistics, history, and much, much more. But I never dreamed that one day I would need to draw on all of these subjects in writing and discovering this epic that began with this first book The Love Scrolls: Love Passages. Before I was named the 2003 & 2005 Poet of the Year and Shakespeare award of excellence recipient, before Foreword Clarion Reviews in the first review of my works called it "an admirable feat". Before this great quest for knowledge began I already knew the end to all the searching was in the eyes of love. So love to me is not only the source but the destination for all our quest and discovery. If love is the beginning and end then it is also the way. My ultimate quest for wisdom would prove me right. Love is the answer, it reveals the beginning and end of our journey, and every step of the way.
