Born and raised in Chicago, Steppin' has been an integral part of my upbringing. After moving to Omaha, NE, in 1980, I founded the Midwest Steppers of Omaha, dedicated to raising funds for young African American women pursuing their college dreams. I believe The Lies We Loved will resonate with readers seeking authentic, heartfelt stories that celebrate the struggles and triumphs of Black women.
