After a car accident during a college road trip leaves Kaylee's parents dead, and her injured, she limps to a road to flag down help. Dr. Gerald Newell, a Miami gynecologist, who runs a sex trafficking ring, and his skeevy sidekick, are travelling the same road while looking for a spot to dump Joanna, who died during her captivity. Problem is, he promised Joanna to a multibillionaire Greek man, and he's desperate to find a replacement. Then he miraculously comes upon Kaylee. Problem solved. After dumping Joanna at the scene of the car wreck, he kidnaps Kaylee. Kaylee wakes from sedation only to be told that Dr. Newell had no choice but to whisk her to a Miami hospital. But Kaylee eventually discovers she isn't in a hospital but being held captive, locked away in a stale and stank room. But the doctor's good fortune sours when Kaylee revolts while in captivity, and she would do anything including killing anyone who stands in her way to freedom. Unbeknownst to Gerald, Joanna is salvaged alive from the accident and misidentified as Kaylee Jasinski, a move that benefits Joanna, offering her freedom from her captors. She would do anything to not go back to that hell hole while recovering in a Naples Florida hospital. Enter Clearwater Deputy Sheriff Lou Ann Jasinski, who just wanted a peaceful vacation from her duties and from her annoying ex, FBI Special Agent Harry Boxer. That is until she's notified she's the sole guardian of her seventeen-year-old niece, Kaylee. After a bitter fallout with her now deceased brother, Lou Ann hasn't seen her niece since the girl was a toddler. Sadly, she couldn't pick her niece out from a line up. But when Lou Ann discovers that the girl she brought home is not her niece, and worse, that the girl is the victim of Newell's ring, Lou Ann fears her real niece was sex trafficked by the same perpetrators. Harry joins Lou Ann while they travel from Miami to Greece to find Kaylee before she disappears forever.
