I noted any available anecdotal information and, where anecdotal information was not available, I noted whatever interesting bits of information I could discover in the public records. I hoped to make the work more interesting and readable and not just the obligatory list of names, dates and places. This book is not intended to be a scholarly product. Rather it is the result of much research done for my own edification and hopefully for the entertainment and edification of my family both immediate and remote. It is to preserve the research done and to hopefully inspire others to perform additional research that would either confirm or correct the accuracy of the family history as presented here.
