The Impulse

Ashlyn is a fourteen year-old high school freshman who lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her parents and siblings. Writing about other worlds provides her the sense of control she lacks as a middle child. She also enjoys reading and playing volleyball, but not at the same time, because that would be dangerous. Assuming she finishes high school with her mental health intact from this abysmal pandemic, she would like to attend university and study-you guessed it-creative writing.
